February 03, 2011
Dear Malayalee friends,
It is almost a month since we last communicated with you with our first emailer (Click here to read our first emailer) and here we are again, to share with you, updates since our last communication.
We are happy to announce that on January 21, 2011 we have launched our revamped website with new features. Mr. George Koovakada, one of GAMA's early founder members, inaugurated the new website. GAMA's new website will depict GAMA activities and all events will be updated in the website in a timely manner.
We have received a lot of positive feedback and suggestions from our members. We have already updated the website in response to the feedback received and will continue to do so. While the information in the new website is based on information that is currently available with us, we are still in the process of collecting GAMA's 30 years of history and will continue to update as we receive further information.
We encourage each of you to visit us at www.gamaonline.org and actively contribute with information and articles for various sections in the website. The website also has a section where people can send their literary contributions. We request all members to provide us with your valuable feedback and information that you have on GAMA or its activities.
We are happy to announce the dates for this year's GAMA's events. Please mark your calendar to ensure that you will not miss these events.

General Body Resolution of December 4, 2010
It came to our attention that a resolution regarding membership status adopted by the general body meeting on December 4, 2010 caused confusion and some of our members and well wishers raised their concerns. As a community organization we value your suggestions and feedbacks. As always, we are determined and committed to address your concerns with utmost priority. The 2011 Executive Committee will be addressing the membership issue to the next general body meeting. Meantime, we would like to clarify that there will be no restrictions on membership based on the visa status until this matter is clarified in the next general body meeting. Please disregard any information to the contrary that you may receive. If you have any questions or concerns on this issue please do not hesitate to reach the President or Secretary of GAMA.
Sincerely,On behalf of the 2011 GAMA EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE |
