Beena Prathip, President
Chair – Membership and Community Outreach
Living in the US since 1990 and Atlanta since 1998, Beena is a Medical Doctor from Kochi, Kerala. Alumni of St. Theresa’s College and School. Currently, she is working in Macy’s as a Manager for 15 years and was the Secretary of Macys women’s forum. She is an avid volunteer for Must Ministries. Her hobbies include gardening, interior designing, and watching Malayalam movies. Husband – Prathip Govindan from Kannur, Electronics Engineer working in IT. Daughter – Shruti Prathip pursuing her Doctor in Psychology program at Mercer University Atlanta. She’s been a GAMA member since 1999.
Anil Mecheril, Vice President
Chair – Event Logistics Committee
Anil Mecheril have been residing in USA for 12 years, born in Kottayam, moved from Ohio to Atlanta in 2006. He lives with his wife Anitha Anil and has three children, Aparna, Annand, and Arya. Currently employed as a Journeyman Electrician at Marta. He has been an active member of GAMA since 2006. He was the Joint secretary of GAMA Executive Committee in 2012 and as member of GAMA Executive Committee in 2017.
Aboobacker Ziddhique, Secretary
Charity and Community Services, Sponsorship special committee
Aboobacker Ziddhique (Zid), Alumni of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Malappuram and. Holds B.Tech in Electronics and Communications from SCT College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram and is an APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP). Worked for Manhattan Associates(India), IBM(India) and J. Crew (U.S). Currently works for Home Depot in Atlanta. He is a member of MENSA (http://www.mensa.org) and Harvard Business Review Advisory Council. He also served as Joint Secretary of GAMA in 2017.

Prasad Philipose, Joint Secretary
Chair – Marketing and Liaison Officer
Prasad Philipose obtained his Masters in Science from NEHU in 1979, worked & lived in Trivandrum till 1996 before moving to Atlanta. Worked in the IT Consulting industry for over 16 years in Metro Atlanta and is currently a Full-time Realtor & has been one of the sponsors for GAMA in recent years. Lives in Lilburn and married to Beena for over 34 years, they have 3 children, a son in law and a grandson!
Deepak Parthasarathi, Treasurer
Lead – Sponsorship special committee, Front Desk Management
Deepak hails from Malappuram and did his Bachelor of Engineering from Madras University. Deepak moved to Atlanta in 2013 and currently lives in Alpharetta with his wife Kaveta and two kids – Shraddha and Abhijith. He is passionate about soccer and cycling. In his leisure time, he loves to solve crossword puzzles and listening to old songs.
Adimathara Preethy
Chair – Women, Youth and Senior Special Forum & Cultural
Engineer’s mind with an educator’s heart. Passion is creative fashion. Mission is mentoring young minds of HS, college and beyond. Enjoys and promotes art, classical music, and dance. Engineering the nuts and bolts of cooking is a favorite past time. Hometown is Kochi and lives in Marietta. Husband Dr. Anilkumar teaches for Kennesaw State, Mercer, and Embry-Riddle, and also manages front desk at Shirdi Sai Temple. Daughter Veena is a recent GT Biomed graduate and has performed Bharatnatyam, Mohiniyattam, and Kathakali fusion (2017) at GAMA. Almae matres are St. Theresa’s College, Engg college-Trichur, CUSAT-Thrikkakkara, and NTU-Singapore (Ph.D). Taught Computer Engg at CUSAT, Georgia State, SPSU, and Kennesaw State. At the end of the day, just a mom with a beautiful heart…
Binu John
Chair – Charity and Community Services, Event Management
Binu is an Ernakulam native and came to the US in 1998 as a bachelor. He moved to Atlanta with his wife Simi in 2006. Binu works as a Principal Software Engineer at ADP in Alpharetta and his wife is a Dialysis Care Technician. Daughters – Olivia 7th grade, Angelina 1st grade.
They have been active members of GAMA ever since they moved to Atlanta and have enjoyed volunteering for GAMA and participating in cultural programs. His wife and two daughters are passionate about dance and have performed in several GAMA events.
Jijo Thomas
Chair – Cultural Committee
Born in Trichur, Kerala, Jijo came to the US at a young age of 2. He was brought up in Yonkers, NY, and now residing in Dacula, GA with his wife Ani, son Gabriel and daughter Mikayla. He did his studies in NY at the Institute of Audio Research for Audio Engineering. He has worked for Broadway Production Companies in Manhattan, NY, and currently owns an AV Production Company. He is heavily involved in music, and plays and teaches keyboard and other instruments. He also has a strong background in audio recording, editing, and providing live Audio Visual Services for major conferences and music concerts. He has worked for artists like Chithra, Vijay Yesudas, MG Sreekumar, Swetha Menon, Haricharan, Kumar Sanu, Harbhajan Mann, Heart Beats and Gopinath Muthukaad along with major film artists. Jijo was a past GAMA EC Member in 2015.
Kevin Bobby
Sports Committee
Kevin Bobby is from the cultural capital of Kerala, Thrissur. He completed his B.Tech in ECE from Calicut University in 2009. Worked as a Systems Engineer for Infosys before joining Manhattan Associates, Atlanta as a Senior Analyst. Married to Bincy Baby. Resident of Atlanta for the last five years and loves the vibe of this adopted home. He treasures friendships more than anything. Would love to continue working for GAMA since it provides a platform where people from all walks of life can get together, relax and enjoy as one big family.
Milton Emmatty
Chair – Sports Committee
Milton is from Thrissur, Kerala. He completed his masters in computer application and works in IT field. His wife Joissy works in IT field also, and she is passionate about music. Their elder son goes to South Forsyth middle and Younger daughter goes to Daves creek elementary. Milton came to Atlanta in 2006 and became a GAMA member in 2008. He currently lives in Cumming, GA. He is interested in sports and active in community groups.
Romeo Thomas
Chair- Public Relations and Member Interactions, Front Desk Management
Romeo Thomas moved to United States in 2003 and has been pursuing his career as an IT consultant. He hails from Kottayam District in Kerala, and cherishes his roots and tradition. He holds a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from NIT, Jaipur, and has worked in Mumbai and several places in the U.S. He currently lives in Smyrna with his wife, Sumi, and 3 young children. He loves to read, and experiment with words and thoughts during his leisure time.
Tony Thomas
Lead – Program Coordination (Cultural) and Community Outreach
Tony Thomas has been pursuing his career as a Solutions Architect (IT). He is a native of Kozhikode with roots coming from a small village in Kottayam.
He moved to the United States in 2008 and currently lives in Johns Creek with his wife Veena along with their kids Richa & Ryan. Before moving to Atlanta he has worked in Massachusetts, Ohio, Bangalore & Hyderabad. He has a Bachelors in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Cochin University of Science & Technology. Tony is a curious person with a passion to learn and gain experience in all areas of life.
Vinu Chandran
Lead – Event Management (Cultural)
Vinu is from Thiruvananthapuram. He completed his PhD from Cochin University of Science & Technology and served the Indian Space Research Organisation as a Scientist for over 6 years. He relocated to Atlanta in 2008, and currently works at the IT department of Cobb Government. He is married to Bindu (works at the Emory University) and they have a 6 year old daughter. He has a passion for music and sports. He is an active member in local community forums.
