Overview

GAMA EC 2026 is committed to conducting the National delegate selection processes in a fair, transparent, and constitutionally compliant manner. The selection of delegates for the 2026 FOMAA and FOKANA conventions was carried out in accordance with the GAMA Constitution and applicable resolutions governing representation in National Malayalee organizations.

Delegate Selection Process

Delegate opportunities were extended in the following order of priority:

1. Current GAMA Executive Committee (2026) members and their spouses
2. Immediate Past GAMA Executive Committee (2025) members and their spouses
3. Eligible GAMA members from the general membership

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible as a delegate, applicants were required to:

• Be active GAMA members in good standing
• Have maintained GAMA membership for the immediate past three years
• Not hold simultaneous membership with any rival Malayalee organization competing with GAMA
• Submit a signed self-declaration/affidavit certifying eligibility
• Submit convention registration confirmation within the prescribed timeline

Selection Methodology

Where the number of interested applicants exceeded the available delegate positions, selections were made on a first-come, first-served basis in accordance with the governing GAMA Resolution. All delegate approvals were subject to review and final confirmation by the GAMA Executive Committee.

FOMAA 2026 Delegate Selection Status

Total Delegate Positions Available: 7

The following applicants were selected based on the constitutional priority structure and the first-come, first-served process. Delegates were required to submit both a self-affidavit and proof of convention registration to confirm their delegateship.

Delegate Confirmation Requirements

• A signed self-affidavit/declaration confirming eligibility under the GAMA Constitution.
• Proof of registration for the FOMAA 2026 Convention.

All seven selected delegates successfully completed these requirements and their delegateships have been confirmed.

Delegate Confirmation Requirements

To confirm delegateship, selected applicants were required to:

• Submit a signed self-affidavit/declaration confirming eligibility under the GAMA Constitution.
• Meet all eligibility requirements prescribed by GAMA governing representation in National Malayalee organizations.

Preference was given to delegates who registered for convention.
