Jerish  Augustine – President

Jerish is from Arakulam, near Thodupuzha. He graduated from SB college Changanassery and then did MCA from RVS College Coimbatore. Jerish worked in Bangalore from 1996-1997 and moved to Atlanta in 1997. He lives in Snellville  with his wife Smitha, originally from Pala, and their 2 kids, Irene(12) and Isaac(8). Currently, Jerish is working at CadillacJack, a gaming company located in Duluth.  He is also a member of St. Alphonsa Catholic Church and currently in the Choir and also in Parish committee and Executive Committee.

Baby Illikattil – Vice President

Baby  lives in Lilburn, GA from 1983 onwards. He is a native of Thodupuzha. He works at United State Postal Service. His wife Suja Joseph is an ex-GAMA Executive Committee member, and they have a daughter, Serina Joseph. Baby is an active GAMA member for more than 10 years. He is also a member of Kanana church and its organizations.

Jose K Manoj – Secretary

 Manoj is a native of Kothamangalam, EKM, Kerala. He is a professional Engineer, who graduated from Mahatma Gandhi University.  He lives in Lilburn, GA since 2001. He worked in Chennai before moving to US. He is currently working as a Product Development Manager at Avago Technologies. His wife is Sona, a Thodupuzha native, and they have two kids (Benjamin 9, Sarah 4). Manoj is an active participant of Jacobite church, has organized fund raising events, and serves in Altar and Sunday school.  He is currently serving as Secretary of his HOA.  He is a member of GAMA past few years and is participating in the Executive Committee for the first time.

Kannan Udayarajan – Treasurer

Kannan  is from Trivandrum, Kerala and has been living in Atlanta since 2007. His wife Shikha is from Kannur and they have two kids, Janaki and Vikram. Kannan is an alumni of the Cochin University of Science and Technology and currently works as a Senior IT Project Manager with Kimberly Clark. He is an avid reader, passionate cinephile and a political junkie. Outside family and work, Kannan spends most of his time volunteering for Vibha, a non profit engaged in child development projects, where he has served as the National Director of Fundraising (2012-14) and Atlanta Action Center Coordinator (2010-11).

Ranjit Gangadharan – Joint Secretary

Ranjit  is from Thrissur, Kerala, but is born and brought up in Mumbai. He is a Mechanical Engineer with a Post Graduation in Management. Ranjit is a Director of Sales in the IT Services industry. He has worked in India, Sweden, Germany, Belgium before moving to Atlanta, US in 2012. His wife Sridevi is from Kottayam, a preschool teacher by profession, and a dancer by passion. Sri has won many awards in dance including the National award at the University level. She teaches Indian Classical dance in Suwanee, Cumming and Alpharetta. Ranjit and Sri live in Suwanee with their sons Smaran (13) and Soham (9).

John Koikara – Executive Committee – Seniors Club Coordinator

 John is from Cherthala in Kerala. He has his M.A. in English Literature, B.A. in Western and Indian Philosophies, a B.Ed. and Master’s from the City University of New York in Teaching Reading. Besides these numerous degrees, he has also taken courses in Latin, Greek, German, Journalism, Editing and Publishing and Creative Writing. He taught in multiple Jesuit schools in India before moving to the US in 1983. John taught in the New York City Public School system until he retired in 2006.Tessy, his wife of 35 years, hails from Thodupuzha in Kerala. Tessy worked for Columbia University for 24 years and retired in 2006 as the Deputy Director of Student Administrative Services at the Health Sciences Campus.

Roys Chirackel – Executive Committee member

Roys is originally from Kasargod, Kerala and has been in Snellville, GA since three months. Roys completed his Masters in Computer Science from Bangalore and moved around the world before settling down here in US. He is currently working as a Program Manager in the IT Service industry.Roys is a member of Holy family Catholic Church, Atlanta and has lead different organizations at the church and its supporting organizations. Also, he was very active in the Malayalee community in Los Angeles during his 15 years of stint there. Roys is married to Bindu and they are the proud parents of four girls.

Sunil Menon – Executive Committee – Sports /Outdoor Events Lead

Sunil is from Palakkad, Kerala. He graduated as a Bachelor of Commerce from Calicut University. He is currently working as a Software Consultant with AT&T since 2012. He has been in Atlanta since 2010, when he came to the US. Before AT&T, Sunil was working with GE for 6 years. His wife’s name is Vidya Nair and have a 1 year old daughter, Naina Menon. He is an avid cricketer, who played Club Cricket for Brothers Club of Kannur for 2 years and pursued his cricket onto his corporate working days in Hyderabad. He has also been playing for a team in Atlanta for last 4 years in Atlanta Cricket league. That remains his favorite sport too.

Jogy K Jose – Executive Committee – Cultural Events Lead

Jogy  is from Kanjirapally, Kerala . Jogy moved to Indianapolis, Indiana in 2007, and is living in Lilburn since 2011. He did his Bachelor of Commerce from St. Dominics College, Kerala and his Diploma In Information Systems Management from APTEC. He is an active member of St. Alphonsa Church and various choir groups. Music is Jogy’s passion from very young age, and he started his career in Rhythm Programming in 1997 and has worked on more than  10000 songs in 94 movies and countless albums with many famous musicians and musical directors. He currently runs a Home Recording studio, and works as an A/V Technician . He also teaches rhythm programming and drums.His wife Seena is from Kannimala ,Kottayam, and works at Midtown Emory Hospital. They have two kids Angeline (5) and Joshua (2).

Deepak Alexander – Executive Committee member

Deepak  is from Calicut, Kerala. He is a Software Engineer graduated from Cochin University of Science and Technology. He did his Master’s in Business Information Technology from Middlesex University, London. He is currently working as a Sr. Software Engineer for Georgia Professional Standards Commission. He lives in Atlanta, GA since 2009. He is an active participant in Orthodox Church and their organizations and programs. His wife is Sunitha Alexander who is working as a software engineer at Quintiles and has a son, Juan Alexander (4). He loves playing Badminton, Soccer and Cricket. His hobby is going to Gym and he is an active member of a Health & Fitness Club and assist trainers in conducting boot camps at his leisure time.

Polson John – Executive Committee member

Polson is from Kottarakara, Kerala. He graduated from Kerala University and was working in middle east as an accountant. He is an active GAMA member and interested in sports and music. He moved to Atlanta with family in 2000, and lives in Collins Hill with wife and two kids.

Jijo Thomas – Executive Committee member

Born in Trichur, Kerala, Jijo came to the US at a young at of 2. He was brought up in Yonkers, NY, and now residing in Lawrenceville, GA with his wife Ani and son Gabriel. He did his studies in NY at the Institute of Audio Research for Audio Engineering. He has worked for Broadway Production Companies in Manhattan, NY, and is currently working for MARTA.He is heavily involved with music, and plays and teaches keyboard and other instruments. He also has a strong background in audio recording, editing, and providing live Audio Visual Services for major conferences and music concerts. He has worked for major artists like Chithra, Vijay Yesudas, MG Sreekumar, Swetha Menon, Heart Beats and Gopinath Muthukaad along with major film artists.

Ashish Abraham – Executive Committee member – Youth Committee Lead

 Ashish is originally from Kottayam in Kerala, but born and bought up in Uttar Pradesh (Varanasi). He is graduated as an Agricultural Engineer. Ashish is working as an IT Engineer  in the IT Services industry. He started his career in IT Services and Consulting, and has worked in India and US. He has been in Alpharetta,GA since 2007, and is involved in many cultural activities for youth and church in India and demonstrated high skills towards leadership and a passion for outdoor and indoor sports. His wife Soma is from Jabalpur,Madhya Pradesh an IT Engineer profession, and a good singer and a good believer by passion.

Thomas Eapen – Ex Officio Member (President -GAMA 2014)

Thomas moved to Georgia in 2008. He lived in Dubai for 20 years and held various positions in Indian Associations in Dubai and Sharjah. Served different positions in Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church and it’s Community. Served as Joint Secretary of GAMA in 2011 and as Secretary in 2012 Worked in a reputed Dutch Company as a Financial Controller before moving into a self owned business in Dubai.Resides in Johns Creek, Atlanta. Education: MBA from Ahmedabad University. Wife: Letha Thomas, Daughters: Angela & Aleysha, Son: Alan.
