We’re happy to share the outstanding achievement of Alexander Joseph, who won two national titles at the 2025 U.S. Chess National K-12 Championships in Spokane, Washington:
🏆 4th Grade National Champion
🏆 K-6 Blitz National Champion
Winning both titles at the same event is rare and speaks to exceptional skill and dedication.
Alexander has also represented the USA internationally at major youth chess championships. His parents, Dr. Antony Joseph and Chiji Mathew, are part of the Greater Atlanta Malayalee community.

Grade 4 Piano – USA Southeast Region Top Scorer
We are thrilled to share some fantastic news from our GAMA family!
Vyga Shiju has been honored with the Top Scorer Trophy for Grade 4 Paino in the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) USA Southeast Region Award for 2025.
The ABRSM is the world’s leading provider of music exams, conducting over 650,000 assessments annually across more than 90 countries, and is recognized globally as a premier music assessment body. Winning a regional award among countless candidates worldwide is a remarkable achievement and a testament to Vyga’s dedication, discipline, and passion for the piano.
We extend our heartiest congratulations to Vyga on this stellar milestone. We also congratulate her proud parents — Shiju Chengat & Lavanya Shiju, her mentor/teacher — Shiju Kurian George, and all GAMA members for their constant support and encouragement.
