GAMA is committed to excellence in helping the Malayalee community in the Metro Atlanta Area. To help us achieve this goal, we reach out to all the female members of this community by asking them to join us in an advisory capacity to kick start the formation of the GAMA WOMENS FORUM.

We invite any member who is interested in volunteering their time in GAMA WOMEN'S FORUM and as one who would make a valuable contribution to the program. By participating on this committee, you will have an opportunity to serve the community in preparing students for their future, while improving and promoting our culture. We ask you to bring in your ideas, creativity and talents to the table so make this a successful launch.

GAMA Womens Forum Inaguaration

Greater Atlanta Malayalee Association (GAMA) Women's Forum inauguration took place on March 19th at 1732 Brittany Dawn Drive, Snellville,GA 30078. The meeting was held under the guidance of Biju Thuruthumalil, President of GAMA and other GAMA Executive Committee members. Sheila Johnson, former GAMA President and well known social worker in Atlanta inaugurated the Forum by lighting the lamp. Sheila Johnson talked about how women can influence the society and also how women can help the community. Sheila Johnson also thanked the women who found time to attend the meeting despite their busy schedule. Ms. Sheela Puthumana, former GAMA Secretary welcomed the idea of Women's Forum formation and suggested that this will help to bridge the gap between past and present generations. Biju Thuruthumail told that the new GAMA Women's Forum will extend its activities beyond USA to India and also the Forum will concentrate on charity activities.

During the meeting, Shila Johnson and Sheela Puthumana were elected as advisory Committee members. Ms.Meera Puthiyadath and Ms. Agnus Karilvel were elected unanimously as Coordinators.

Anu Sukumar, Secretary, GAMA expressed the vote of thanks. Linda Tharakan, Thomas Eapen, Zacharias Vachaparambil, George Melathe, Joshy Mathew, John Varghese, Mathew P Mathew, Ranjan Jacob, Saikumar Viswanathan and Saji Pillai had expressed their cooperation and support for the activities of GAMA Women's Forum.
